So @manuelnoah and I decided to play with the installation @thefourthwallgallery one more time. We ended up with a new wall and some additional works. The updated show title could be “I Have Never Been Here Before - Again,” which reminds me a little of the brilliant Queen lyrics, “I've fallen in love for the first time / And this time I know it's for real.”
Anyway, Manuel is sitting at the gallery today if you want to stop by.

Thank you, Susan Aulik of @fourthwallgallery for inviting me to curate this show of my son’s paintings. It’s been an incredible experience working with him on it, especially during covid times. Obviously I’ve known his work forever but, recently, I find myself more and more influenced by his attitude of waiting and trusting materials to do their thing over time. I asked him some questions along this line in an interview for the catalog, which is available digitally on the Fourth Wall website (fourthwallart.com) now and in print soon.

The show, titled, I Have Never Been Here Before, opens today. The gallery is open Saturdays 12-5 but you can email them or me for an appointment other times.

I finished this little piece last Thursday as the vote count continued and as joy began to set in. It’s called Eme Emauto (the silent dialogue) – an over-sized title for an under-sized painting but it’s what I’ve been thinking about ever since my attempted read of #hannaharendt Life of the Mind.
